Primary Care Nursing Expo 2015

Primary Care Nursing Expo 2015: Free clinical updates in wound care, diabetes, heart failure and more
Joy Tickle, tissue viability nurse specialist, clinical lead at Shropshire Community NHS Trust, and specialist adviser for Channel 4's 'Embarrassing Bodies' programme, will lead interactive workshops on leg ulcer management and how to manage the diabetic foot at Primary Care Nursing Expo on 4 February 2015.
Primary Care Nursing Expo offers a wide choice of free interactive clinical updates in asthmaCOPDcardiovascular diseasediabetesdermatology,immunisationsmoking cessationcontraception and wound care for all primary care nurses
Each interactive workshop will provide essential, practical new knowledge to take back to clinical practice, along with accredited CPD certification for each session you attend. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with colleagues, and meet exhibiting industry representatives*.
Speakers will include: 
  • Beverley Bostock-Cox, clinical lead, Education for Health, on which
    type 2 diabetes treatment and why?
  • Darush Attar- Zadeh, Clinical lead medication optimisation (COPD and asthma), Barnet CCG on supporting patients to quit smoking
  • Hannah Waterhouse, heart failure clinical lead, Education for Health, on heart failure management
Monica Fletcher OBE, chief executive of the respected training charity Education for Health, will deliver the opening address on the significant impact that primary care nurses make to improving patients' quality of life.
